Description

The Goblins are the single faction in the Smash Up Goblins set. This faction has no official flavor text because the Smash Up Goblins has no rulebook. However, the following flavor text can be found on AEG's online store: They rely on abilities that are entirely determined by the result of a coin flip. Their complexity rating is: Medium-High. Other factions from the same set: (none).

Cards Overview

The Goblins have the usual 10 minions and 10 actions. The total minion base power (not counting any abilities) is the usual 30 or an average of 3 per minion. Among their actions, there are: * 1 play-on-minion action: “Magic” Helmet, * 1 play-on-base action: Goblin Recruiters, * 8 standard actions (4 that affect one or more minions, in bold): A Little Help (2x), Bushwhacking, Demolition, He Who Smelt It, Make Your Own Luck (2x), Revving Up * 4 actions that directly increase a minion's power: “Magic” Helmet, Demolition, He Who Smelt It, Revving Up.
1x “Magic” Helmet - Play on your minion. Ongoing: This minion has +4 power. Before this base scores, flip a coin. If tails, destroy this minion. 2x A Little Help - Flip a coin. If heads, you may play an extra minion. If tails, you may play two extra actions. 1x Bushwhacking - Choose a minion and flip a coin. If heads, destroy the minion. If tails, move it to another base. 1x Demolition - Flip three coins. For each heads, place a +1 power counter on one of your minions. For each tails, you may destroy an action on a base or on a minion. 1x Goblin Recruiters - Play on a base. Ongoing: After you flip a coin, if it was heads, draw a card; if tails, you may shuffle a card from your discard pile into your deck. 1x He Who Smelt It - Choose a minion and flip a coin. If heads, place a +1 power counter on that minion and you may choose another minion and flip again. If tails, you may play an extra action. 2x Make Your Own Luck - Special: Play immediately after you flip a coin. Change its result. 1x Revving Up - Choose a base. Flip a coin for each of your minions there. For each heads, place a +1 power counter on that minion. For each tails, that minion gains +2 power until the end of the turn.

Characters

1x Chaos Lord - power 5 - Ongoing: After you flip a coin, if it was heads, place a +1 power counter on one of your minions; if tails, draw a card then discard a card. 2x Diviner - power 4 - Ongoing: Once per turn, immediately after you flip a coin you may discard a card to change its result. After the first time each turn you flip a coin, draw a card. 3x Blaster - power 3 - Special: Before this base scores, flip a coin. If heads, you may give this minion +2 power until the end of the turn. If tails, you may move this minion to another base. 4x Gobbo - power 2 - Flip a coin for each Gobbo in play (including this one). For each heads, place a +1 power counter on this minion.
